AltusWorks is excited to announce that Architect Jon Hiatt and Architectural/Preservation Staff member Austin Villejo have joined our team.

With over twenty years in the architectural field and five years as an accessibility consultant, Jon has successfully guided both residential and commercial projects, ranging from discrete accessibility upgrades to multi-family residential developments. His dedication to providing access and housing for everyone, combined with his passion for technical details and love for the built urban environment, enables him to deliver impactful and enduring architectural solutions.

Austin holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, with a certificate in Historic Preservation. Passionate about cultural heritage, Austin gained international experience studying architecture and historic preservation in Urbino, Italy. Before moving to Chicago from Dallas, Austin was actively involved in Preservation Dallas and served on the board of Preservation Dallas Young Professionals (PDYP).
