University of Chicago Quadrangle Club Feasibility Study

The Gothic Revival Quadrangle Club, designed in 1922 by Howard Van Doren Shaw, serves the university community as a private social and athletic club and is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.  As the accessibility consultant to a larger team conducting an overall feasibility study for the renovation and modernization of the facility, AltusWorks applied our knowledge of accessibility code requirements for certified historic structures, surveying barriers to accessibility and developing design recommendations for universal access to all program uses including hotel rooms, banquet facilities, bar, locker rooms and tennis courts.
